English 110

Course Description:
In English 110, students will study and practice different modes of writing and enhance their research skills. To further develop their composition skills, students will read articles; draft, revise, and edit four essays; research issues that pertain to class discussion; and participate in peer reviews and conferences. Practicing the writing and revision process will be our primary objective, so students will compose and revise multiple drafts throughout the semester. Students will write a personal narrative (Essay 1), persuasive essays that analyze and respond to our readings (Essay 2 and Essay 3), and a research paper (Essay 4).
